Julia Goulding has resumed filming on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 35-year-old star – who plays Shona Ramsey on the ITV soap – is back on the cobbles following her maternity leave, during which she gave birth to a baby boy, who she and husband Ben Silver named Franklin.
A tweet on the ‘Coronation Street’ Twitter account read: "Guess who was back filming with us this week? We’ve missed you @juliagoulding #SaturdaySneakPeek #Corrie #BehindTheScenes. (sic)"
And Julia shot a short video for Corrie’s Instagram account, confirming Shona is back.
She said: "Hi everyone, you may be wondering why I am wearing my Coronation Street warm coat – it’s because Shona’s back!"
Julia took to Instagram in early December to confirm she and Ben had welcomed baby boy Franklin Wolf Silver into the world on November 30th.
She wrote: "Thank you to the lovely couple in the park who took this picture for us: Taken as I was in early labour on my due date. The next day Ben and I welcomed our baby son into the world. Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19. (sic)"
The cobbles star said Franklin has changed her and Ben’s lives "for the better".
She added: "He’s changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I’ve known him my whole life."
Several soap stars congratulated the pair, including former ‘Corrie’ actress Nicola Thorp (Nicola Rubinstein).
She wrote: "I can’t wait to cuddle him. X (sic)"
Former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Gemma Merna (Carmel McQueen) wrote: "Congratulations [love heart]"
Julia recently revealed she had "vetoed" Ben’s plan to name their baby Han Solo.
She said: "We’ve got a lot of girls names but we haven’t got any boys names yet."
Ben added: "I want Han if it’s a boy as then he’ll be Han Silver, which sounds like Han Solo and I’m a big ‘Star Wars’ fan."
Julia replied: "Plus, Ben thinks he looks like a young Harrison Ford.
"I’ve ruled out Han so boys names are proving difficult."
Julia also admitted Wolfgang had been vetoed, but the pair ended up giving their little one the middle name Wolf.
