Jude Monk McGowan thanks cast and crew for his ‘incredible’ Hollyoaks stint

Jude Monk McGowan has thanked the ‘Hollyoaks’ cast and crew for helping to make his time on the soap "incredible".
The star’s character Liam Donovan was killed off in last night’s (25.03.10) E4 first-look episode after his sister Grace Black (Tamara Wall) let him fall to his death, and the actor feels "so fortunate" to have been involved in plenty of juicy storylines during his two years on the show.
He said: "My time on ‘Hollyoaks’ has been incredible. I’ve learned so much about the crafts of acting for camera.
"I’ve learned so much about the technicalities of working with a camera, which I was really hungry to learn about.
"I’ve been so fortunate to be as busy as I have been, with some very fun storylines, and to work with some incredibly talented people, who have helped me grow and learn.
"My favourite storyline must be my exit from the show. I liked the finality of it, and I liked how dramatic it was. I liked that I could just let loose in it.
"I’m absolutely going to keep in contact with all the pals that I’ve made on the show. The people that I had long term storylines with.
"I would count myself lucky enough to be their friends, and I very much hope that we work together on something in the future."
While Grace let Liam die, in real life Tamara admitted she is gutted that she will no longer get to work with Jude.
She said: "I am gutted! Me and Jude have the nicest relationship.
"He is one of the nicest and most genuine person I know, and he’s a brilliant actor, and a joy to work with."
Gregory Finnegan – who plays James Nightingale – admitted that out of all the people who have left the show during his time, Jude is one of the "nicest" and "funniest" people he has worked with.
He said: "I’ve seen a lot of wonderful people leave during my time on the show, and he is most definitely one of the nicest, funniest and most talented – we’ll all miss him greatly."
