Jorgie Porter set sights on Strictly

Jorgie Porter is desperate to compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who previously took part in ‘Dancing on Ice’ and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – admitted it would be a "dream" to take part in the Latin and ballroom contest and she’d push herself as hard as possible to lift the Glitterball trophy.
She said: "’Strictly’ would be the dream. I’d love that.
"I’ve been on reality shows before where I’ve not been bothered about winning and just wanted to take part. But on ‘Strictly’ I’d want to win, just so I could stay on and dance until the end."
The 30-year-old actress can next be seen in a touring production of ‘Fame’ and despite her dance background, she’s had to work really hard to be ready for the show.
She said: "Rehearsals have been really full-on. We’ve been rehearsing for over a month now and we’re nearly ready. It’s so exciting…
"I used to dance as a kid but it’s about 10 years since I went to ballet school. It was a bit scary putting my ballet shoes back on but it’s all come back to me.
"I nearly paralysed myself when I started doing backbends again!
"I’ve been going to loads of ballet classes and the teachers are dead strict."
Though Jorgie won’t rule out returning to ‘Hollyoaks’ as Theresa McQueen, fans are in for a long wait to see her in the village again.
She added to Star magazine:" Never say never because I absolutely loved it but now I’m doing something completely different.
"I want to keep showing everyone what I can do and hopefully I’ll surprise them. Maybe I’ll go back when I’m a granny."
