Jordan Banjo: ‘Cheryl Tweedy has proved the doubters wrong’

Jordan Banjo says performing with ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professionals proved Cheryl Tweedy’s dancing prowess.
The ‘Greatest Dancer’ host insists Cheryl deserves to be a dance captain on the show and says she proved her doubters wrong when she danced alongside her co-stars Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse and a group of ‘Strictly’ professionals last weekend.
He told MailOnline: "If anything was a test, it’s ”right we’re going to put you in with all the ‘Strictly’ dancers,’ you’ve got a group of world class dancers and put Cheryl in it, if being part of that doesn’t prove everyone wrong than nothing will.
"I wasn’t shocked at Cheryl being a dance captain, and I wasn’t shocked at the reaction, because of the achievements of what she’s done, [but] I was always worried it would happen.
"I said before, don’t let how amazing she is as a performer and as a singer and as you know her before, overshadow the fact that she has a wealth of experience in dance.
"She’s grown up around it, she goes all around the world performing and dancing, last week throughout the opening numbers, Cheryl’s a terrific dancer."
And Jordan – who shot to fame as a member of ‘Diversity’ on ‘Britain’s Got Talent – praised Cheryl, Oti and Matthew for being down to earth.
He said: "Before I met up I was like in my head, if anyone’s got reason to have an ego it’s these three, in what they do they are literally titans.
"I was thinking who knows how they’re all gonna be? But from the minute I walked in it was just like hanging out with a better-looking version of Diversity."
