Jonny Mitchell has been evicted from ‘Love Island’.
The 26-year-old business director left the island on Tuesday’s (11.07.17) episode of the ITV2 reality show, after a brutal dumping which saw him and Tyla Carr decide between themselves which of the two of them should pack their bags.
And despite becoming one of the public’s least favourite contestants after he broke the heart of love interest Camilla Thurlow, he admits he’d now love to see her go on to win.
He said after leaving the villa: "I’d like to see Cam and Jamie win – I think they’d take so much from that if they got that win."
Although he admits he broke Camilla’s heart in favour of a relationship with Tyla, he insists he "handled things in the villa a lot more diplomatically then anyone else did when leaving a relationship."
He added to Metro.co.uk after being evicted: "I think handled things over the space of a week rather than just a day, when Tyla came in I got to know her I didn’t just jump on her and Camilla was fully in the know about it.
"Camilla was very supportive of the fact that if I was interested on someone else she would not stand in the way and of course I regret she got upset but I think I kept her completely in the loop – it’s not like I shafted her."
Whilst Camilla may have been torn up at first, she’s now moved on with new beau Jamie Jewitt, who paired with her last week after they bonded over their love of books and later in the Beach Hut, Camilla revealed she thinks he is "attractive".
Fellow housemate Chris Hughes told Jamie he would love to see Camilla find the right guy.
He said: "I’d love her to click with someone properly. Hopefully you’re that guy. She is so stunning as well. I’ve never met anyone like her. I could see you are well suited."
