Jonathan Ross to be judge on The Masked Singer

Jonathan Ross has reportedly signed up as a judge on ITV’s ‘The Masked Singer’.
The TV chat show legend is to join host Joel Dommett on the upcoming talent show, which first started in South Korea with a US version pulling in 12 million viewers earlier this year, and sees 12 stars disguised in costumes head-to-toe as they sing in front of the celebrity panel, which is to be led by the ‘Jonathan Ross Show’ host.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Landing Jonathan is a real coup for producers.
"They think he’ll be hilarious fronting the panel and help make the series a success.
"He’s the big name they needed to get the show off the ground and encourage viewers to take it seriously."
It’s the 58-year-old presenter’s first talent show role, whilst it’s Joel’s prime time debut gig on the channel.
The latter reportedly landed the job after a successful stint fronting quiz show ‘Hey Tracey!’ this summer.
An insider claimed: "Joel has impressed head honchos at ITV and they think he is the perfect fit for this zany show.
"They’re hoping he can help make this new series a hit, especially after ‘The X Factor’ and ‘The Voice’ have failed recently to bring the big audiences."
ITV’s Head of Entertainment Commissioning Siobhan Greene preciously said: "Not very often, a show comes along that seems to abandon all the rules … and this is it. ‘The Masked Singer’ is original, bold, funny and a proper guessing game, that we hope will have the nation hooked. We all loved it from the moment we saw it and are so excited to be bringing it to a UK audience."
‘The Masked Singer’ is due to air later this year.
