Jonathan Ross signs £2 million ITV deal


Jonathan Ross has signed a £2 million contract with ITV.

The veteran talk show host has renewed his deal to stay with the TV network,on which he’s been presenting his current programme – ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ – since 2011.

In a statement, Jonathan said: "I’ve been lucky enough to interview some of the biggest stars around on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ and I’m delighted that I’ll continue to do so for ITV until at least the end of 2015 with two series booked for the channel for next year.

"This Saturday [25.10.14] I have Russell Brand, Lindsay Lohan, Daniel Radcliffe and Rio Ferdinand on the couch and there’s plenty more to come."

Elaine Bedell, ITV’s Director of Entertainment and Comedy, added: "Jonathan is the king of talk shows and a valued member of the ITV family. He continues to attract the biggest names in showbiz onto his sofa and I am delighted that he will remain on the channel until at least the end of 2015."

The 53-year-old presenter joined the channel in 2011, after spending almost a decade hosting ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ on BBC One.

His deal with ITV includes filming two new series of ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ as well as a Christmas special scheduled for December 2015.
