Jonathan Ross praises polite Beckham kids

Jonathan Ross was shocked at how polite David and Victoria Beckham’s children are.

‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ host has interviewed the former soccer star on numerous occasions but admits he was surprised by how well-mannered his children – Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old Harper – were when he met them and their fashion designer mother at an event.

Quizzed whether he felt sorry for them having to cope with their parents’ fame, he said: "No, I don’t, because Victoria and David are such cool people and such good parents. I met them out years ago with their kids and you couldn’t have met a more polite, sweet-natured bunch of children."

The 53-year-old TV star also explained that while he can understand why people would think the kids are spoilt, he doesn’t think there’s any reason why they’d be impolite.

He told heat magazine: "They were so well-mannered and, oddly, I don’t think people would expect that, but they’ve raised those kids great."

One young star Jonathan isn’t impressed by, however, is Justin Bieber, who was recently forced to apologise after videos emerged of him telling racist jokes as a teenager.

Jonathan said: "I like Justin – he’s a nice guy and he’s clearly a very talented young man. But at the moment someone needs to tell him to f***ing calm down, you know, because he’s acting like a goon."
