Jonas Brothers ‘pulled apart’ by brotherly bond

Kevin Jonas thinks being related "pulled apart" the Jonas Brothers.
The 28-year-old star – whose wife Danielle is pregnant with their second daughter, a sibling for two-year-old Alena – admits he and siblings Joe and Nick Jonas had a "different connection" which made them stronger as a group, but ultimately believes that same bond was also what led to them going their separate ways in 2013.
Speaking on an episode of ‘Oprah: Where Are They Now?’ airing on Saturday (13.08.16), he said: "I think we had a different connection just because we were brothers.
"When we were on the road or at home, we were still together, and I think that made us stronger. But at the same time, I think that’s what pulled it apart, which I think is inevitable when you’re working with your family for so long."
The ‘Lovebug’ singers stunned their fans when they called off their world tour in October 2013 and announced they were going their separate ways shortly afterwards.
Kevin knew the decision wouldn’t be popular, but he and his brothers felt it was the right time to split.
He said: "It was just time. Like it or not, it was time for us to no longer be making music like that together and focus on our individuality."
After going their own ways, the brothers had little contact with one another for some time, but now their relationship is much better.
Kevin said: "For a long time, we were doing individual things [and] talking rarely. Now our relationship is much stronger."
The trio – who began making music in 2005 – enjoyed a swift rise to fame, and though Kevin acknowledges that meant they missed some aspects of a normal upbringing, he thinks the positives outweigh the negatives.
He said: "We had quite a journey. Our life went from zero to 60 very fast…
"You look at it and go, ‘Well, you’re having dinner at the White House with the president and playing an acoustic show for the inauguration night.’ So, I’ll take it!"
