John Thomson has had a hair transplant.
The ‘Cold Feet’ star – who divorced his wife Samantha Sharp last year – is back on the dating scene and is hoping his new dark locks will increase his chances of finding love again.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I realised I was losing my hair so I thought I’d get it done at the Farjo Hair Institute. I might have got away with a bald head if my build was different. But thin men carry it off better."
However, the 47-year-old funnyman’s search for a new companion hasn’t gone down too well thus far as most of his potential conquests believe his dating account is a fake.
He explained: "People did recognise me but didn’t believe it was the real me. There were lots of messages from people saying, ‘You must think I’m mad.’ ‘What a joke.’ ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.’ The bottom line for me is shared experiences. That’s the nice thing, creating memories with people. It’s not like sex is the be all and end all."
Meanwhile, John isn’t the only cast member of ‘Cold Feet’ to undergo the procedure to enhance his tresses as James Nesbitt has also had two hair transplants over the years.
