Joey Essex wants to become a rapper.
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star is reportedly in talks with Warner Music to record an album following the release of his ‘Essex Anthems’ compilation CD.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I might be doing a deal. It’d take me a few years to do big shows.
"I’ve done things like that but not actually sung. I’ve got the confidence, but it’s just being able to sing."
Joey showed off his talent with his lyrics: "Yo, yo, yo, yeah, my name is Joe. Don’t live in Hackney, don’t live in Bow."
His record label are said to be monitoring sales of his first record before deciding on a rap album and he hopes to become Britain’s answer to ‘Holy Grail’ hitmaker Jay Z.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old star had his TOWIE co-stars James ‘Arg’ Argent and James ‘Diags’ Bennewith in stitches when he revealed he wants Peter Pan to play him in a film about his life.
During an online chat with fans, he said: "I’d like Peter Pan to play me because he never wants to grow up," adding, "Make a cartoon where Peter Pan says ‘today I’m going to be Joey Essex."
The hunk didn’t understand when Arg and Diags tried to explain Peter Pan is "already a character" before Arg joked that Jonah Hill could portray Diags.
Joey also admitted he’d strip naked for £500 for a magazine spread and hinted he could return to TOWIE, telling fans: "Never say never."
