Joel Madden’s Snapchat lessons

Joel Madden has been getting Snapchat lessons from Kate Hudson.
The Good Charlotte rocker was instructed on the basics of the video-sharing website at the after-party for his wife Nicole Richie’s disco-themed birthday bash on Friday (23.09.16) by his spouse and her actress friend, who is an avid user of the social media site.
Kate documented Joel’s confusion in a number of Snapchat posts, with the 37-year-old rocker asking at one point: "How do you find your profile?"
As Joel – who has children Harlow, eight, and Sparrow, six, with Nicole – added his pal Chris Jericho to his followers, the ‘Almost Famous’ star wrote: "He’s getting it."
But later, Kate and Nicole jokingly rolled their eyes at Joel’s efforts, and the ‘Fool’s Gold’ star admitted she was getting frustrated.
She wrote: "I need to go home. This is gonna take weeks."
Earlier in the evening, the group were joined by the likes of Jessica Alba, Rachel Zoe and hairdresser Jen Atkin for Nicole’s 35th birthday party, and the group were documenting their fun on Snapchat, posting videos of them dancing to tracks including
Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’, Diana Ross’ ‘I’m Coming Out’ and Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’.
But the birthday girl – with her hair in curls and wearing a long gold dress – jokingly claimed she was tired of people being preoccupied by their social media accounts as in one video she told her pals to "stop Snapchatting".
Last month, Joel and Nicole joined a group of celebrity friends to celebrate sister-in-law Cameron Diaz’s birthday with a cooking class.
The ‘Bad Teacher’ actress turned 44 on August 30 and marked the special day by attending the New School of Cooking in Culver City, California, with husband Benji Madden, Joel and Nicole, as well as friend Gwyneth Paltrow and her boyfriend Brad Falchuk.
The group, who dressed casually but had their garments protected by aprons, enjoyed a trattoria-themed class where they learned to produce Italian delights including wild mushroom risotto, salad and tiramisu.
And at the end of the class, Cameron was presented with a yellow birthday cake topped with chocolate frosting and candles as everyone sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her.
