Joe Wicks trademarks name for new food and kitchen brand

Joe Wicks has trademarked his name to create his own food and kitchen brand.
The 33-year-old star already has ties to the meals-by-post firm Gousto, but he’s now protected his name and his alter-ego, The Body Coach, in a bid to create his own line of healthy food products and kitchen appliances, as well as sports gear and clothing.
Joe has legally filed to protect his name against products including meat, fish, bread, baby food, pizzas, popcorn, soups, and beans, according to The Sun newspaper.
Sauces, mayo, ketchup, desserts and puddings, as well as juices, oils, marinades, pasta products, snacks and cereal bars are also on the shopping list.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported Joe is poised to land a £1 million book deal following the success of his YouTube PE classes.
The TV star has been helping to keep people active amid the coronavirus pandemic through his online fitness videos – and publishers are said to be keen to cash-in on his popularity.
A source recently said: "Publishers know, with the huge success of being the nation’s PE teacher, he’s now a household name and they are desperate to tap him up to release his own range of children’s books in time for Christmas this year.
"He has become a very familiar face with thousands of kids and is to PE what Jamie Oliver was to school dinners. It’s gold to publishers and offers are already at £1 million."
In March, Joe was awarded a Guinness World Record for "most viewers for a fitness workout live stream on YouTube".
But the star had to have his award presented to him virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.
