Joe Tracini issues advice after experiencing ‘louder than usual’ suicidal thoughts

Joe Tracini has pleaded with anyone suffering from suicidal thoughts not to take their own life, after he had a "louder than usual" experience last week.

The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor took to Twitter to share a powerful message to his fans, in which he revealed going to a different shop to his usual favourite store to buy bread led to him thinking he needed to take his own life.

In the clip, he said: "I don’t like queuing to buy bread.

"It’s not on my list of comfortable things to do.

"Last week, I went to a different shop for the first time, that sold different things.

"That small amount of change on that day made me think I needed to kill myself.

"This wasn’t my normal day-to-day today living with suicidal thoughts.

"This was an instruction."

The 31-year-old star – who played Dennis Savage in ‘Oaks’ – pleaded with anyone experiencing similar thoughts to tell someone.

He added: "It’s basically, I think about ways I could and I feel like I have to.

"I don’t know how long the thoughts are going to last for, but I just have to wait.

"I told somebody it was happening and it lasted for about six or seven hours.

"If you’re like me and you’re thinking about killing yourself – please don’t. Please wait."

He captioned the clip: "I live with suicidal thoughts, but sometimes they’re louder than usual.

"This happened last week, and I’m ok now. I always wait, and they always go. Please don’t kill yourself xx (sic)"

Joe recently advised anyone who is "struggling" with the coronavirus lockdown to wait it out.

Speaking in April, he said: "On Tuesday my brain kept telling me to kill myself, and I waited, as I always do.

"All I can ever do is wait. There’s only so many things I can change. I can’t change how I feel and pick what I think.

"I can decide what to do with anything I’m given from my brain.

"If I just hang about, however I feel always changes, and I’ve stopped watching the news, there is no news for me.

"Can I go out? No. OK, I will stay here and put a leotard on.

"The one thing that I always do is that if I feel negative I don’t stop myself feeling negative.

"Because that doesn’t go anywhere if I ignore it.

"I don’t tell myself to not be sad because someone has it worse, that’s the same as telling myself to not be happy as somebody has it better."
