Joe Perry ‘stable’ after collapsing on stage in Brooklyn

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry is "stable" after collapsing on stage in New York on Sunday (10.07.16).
The 65-year-old guitarist was performing with the Hollywood Vampires – also comprised of Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp – at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island when he shocked fans by staggering off stage.
He was treated by medical staff before he was rushed off to Coney Island Hospital in a critical condition at around 9.30pm.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Perry lost consciousness backstage and went into cardiac arrest.
And an eyewitness said the rocker was given CPR by a paramedic before he was hospitalised.
Perry’s bandmate Alice Cooper has since given an update on his condition.
Taking to Twitter, the ‘Poison’ hitmaker wrote: "Thanks to everyone asking about brother @JoePerry. He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care. (sic)"
Perry is believed to have since been transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital on the Upper East Side his condition has stabilised.
The band continued to play after Perry left and Cooper told the crowd that he’d been "sick" before they came on.
He told the audience: "If you notice one of our brothers is not onstage with us, he was very sick before the show."
