Joe McFadden to join Downton Abbey movie?

Joe McFadden wants to join the ‘Downton Abbey’ movie.
The 42-year-old actor has been at out of work since the end of last year when he quit his role as Raf di Lucca in the medical drama ‘Holby City’ but he’s hoping bosses of the period blockbuster will give him a role in the film because he loves the costumes.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I’d love to be in ‘Downton Abbey’, I know they’re doing a ‘Downton Abbey’ movie soon. I love the costumes."
But Joe has no desire to up sticks and move across to Los Angeles for work because he believes there’s enough "great work" in the UK to keep him going for a while.
He explained: "I’m very happy to stay here. I’m not hankering after LA, we have such great work in this country, there’s no need to go there."
Joe also has his eye on a musical theatre role after he won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ just before Christmas with his professional partner Katya Jones.
He said: "I think that now people have seen me dance it would be a shame not to go ahead and do that again.
"Having just come off the biggest show on television, I want to make the right decision. And having done four years on ‘Holby’ I don’t necessarily want a long-term thing. But as an actor you never know where your next job will come along so I’ll just have to see."
But the talented star hasn’t had any job offers as of yet but there have been chats.
He explained recently: "There haven’t been any job offers.
"There have been some discussions but there is nothing solid at all so I really don’t know what I’m going to do.
"I know there was a lot of talk about what might happen but because of everyone being off over Christmas and New Year, nothing has come about."
