Jodie Marsh has given her fans a lesson in staying positive.
The 37-year-old bodybuilder took to her YouTube channel to preach the benefits of positivity, something she insists has helped her deal with the breakdown of her eight-month marriage to James Placido.
In a video, she said: "Today I want to talk to you about being strong and being happy. Do you know what? People could do with a lesson from me in happiness and staying positive."
Jodie believes she’s uniquely qualified to give advice on optimistic thinking because she has been able to remain a strong person in the face of adversity.
Although she has been "through a lot of crap in life, a lot," she has overcome all her problems by being the "strongest person I know and also the most positive".
Jodie has also claimed she’s been a target for lots of unscrupulous people because of her celebrity status.
She explained: "I’ve never had an easy ride – I’ve had people steal money from me, steal jewellery from me, I’ve had people stab me in the back because of who I am. Even now I’m going through hell in my private life, and I won’t go into it because it’s private. But I am going through hell believe me."
Following her split from her husband James, television documentary maker Jodie is once again living a celibate life and she intends to fulfil her dream of having a baby by using a sperm donor.
She previously said: "I won’t miss the sex. I’m so happy on my own, genuinely happy on my own. I’ve never been happier. I love my life, my career is amazing. I travel the world making these documentaries, everything in my life is where I want it to be. The only thing I don’t have is a partner and a child … I definitely want kids. I’ve got two nieces and they’re amazing. They make me really broody. I’ll have to use a sperm bank as I obviously don’t have a partner."
