Jesy Nelson broke down in tears after NTA win

Jesy Nelson was reduced to tears when she was crowned the winner of the Factual Award for her hit documentary ‘Odd One Out’ at the National Television Awards in London on Tuesday (28.01.20).
The Little Mix singer broke down on stage when she collected her prize for her show – which saw her open up about abuse she has received from cyberbullies since her rise to fame – and thanked all those involved, including her mother Janice White and her boyfriend Chris Hughes.
As she wiped her tears away with her hand, the 28-year-old star said: "I’m so sorry, this is so overwhelming, I’m such a baby. Thank you so much.
"I want to start by thanking the BBC for being the most incredible team to work with, my dear friend Adam for being the most incredible director.
"I want to thank every single person in the documentary for being so brave and courageous for sharing their story with the world.
"Last but not least, thank you to everyone who voted you have no idea how much this means to me.
"I’m so grateful that such a negative experience in my life turned into such a positive one and that’s all thanks to you guys."
However, in all the emotion, the brunette beauty forgot to thank her Little Mix band mates; Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
Jesy was equally amazed when she found out the documentary – in which she revealed she had once tried to take her own life – has received a nomination for a National Television Award.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: "I’m so overwhelmed by all your amazing messages. This subject is so close to my heart and making a documentary about it was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, but seeing your reaction has made me so glad I did it.
"The documentary and the amazing team behind it are up for a National Television Award, if you enjoyed ‘Odd One Out’, please do go to the link in my bio and vote!"
