Jessica Ellis ‘gutted’ about Hollyoaks death

Jessica Ellis is "absolutely gutted" her ‘Hollyoaks’ character has been killed off.
The 31-year-old star bowed out of the Channel 4 soap in last night’s (24.10.18) E4 episode when her alter-ego Tegan Lomax died after she was struck by a tree when a vicious storm hit the village – but she was glad to go out with a bang after five years on the show.
She wrote on Instagram: "Okay where do I even begin!! I have had the most amazing 5 years in Hollyoaks! With the most wonderful cast and crew I could wish for! I’m really proud of my five years and will look back with such fond memories! I’m absolutely gutted that Tegan is gone! But all good things must come to an end! And what an end that was! Thank you so much to all the fans out there! You truly are the best and your support and kind words mean so much to us! And essentially it’s what this is all about! So thanks for letting me tell you some wonderful stories and deal with some delicate issues! Also for embracing Tegan’s style and the way she looks! I loved representing that! Now onto the future I’m excited for what it holds! So watch this bloody space! Lots of love jess xxxx #hollyoaks #treegan (sic)"
Jessica also admitted she was left in tears by the response she received to the episode, which saw her talking to her family in hospital only to fall unconscious with doctors unable to resuscitate her.
Following the episode, Jessica wrote on Twitter: "Oh my god I’m sat here in tears overwhelmed by your amazing comments! Thank you so much! (sic)"
