Jeremy Vine is set to host ‘Make Me An Egghead’.
The 50-year-old presenter will front the new spin-off TV show to find two new people to join the mastermind panel of the BBC Two quiz show ‘Eggheads’ – which he fronts.
‘Make Me an Egghead’ will narrow down the contestants to two finalists who will become a resident Egghead on the long standing evening game show.
Meanwhile, the BBC have plans to "shake-up" their daytime schedule, and have commissioned a crime series called ‘III Gotten Gains’ to fill the morning slot.
The programme will follow the country’s Regional Organised Crime Units raid gangsters homes and seize belongings to sell off at auction.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper about the reason behind the forthcoming programme, a source said: "Viewers love real-life crime shows and not just in the evenings.
"Smashing mobsters and then selling their stuff at an auction is going to please those who love gritty stories as well as ‘Homes Under the Hammer’.
"The shake-up of daytime programming shows that BBC bosses recognise there’s a market for this and not just repeats of detective dramas ad home improvement projects."
