Jeremy McConnell joins football team

Jeremy McConnell has joined a football team – but he can’t finish his training session because of his police curfew.
The 27-year-old hunk was fitted with an electronic tag – meaning he has to return to his home before a certain time otherwise he’ll be arrested – after he was released from prison shortly after Christmas and, although he’s trying to get his life back on track and recently signed up to a football club in a bid to get fit, the gadget around his ankle means he has to leave the training sessions mid-way through.
A source told the MailOnline: "He’s a great lad and joined the team to get fit and try to turn his life around after prison. The only problem is he can’t finish training sessions yet as he needs to get home before his curfew starts. The lads give him a bit of stick about it but he takes it in good spirits."
Since his release, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has got his prison number tattooed on his leg to "serve as a reminder" of his shocking behaviour, which saw him assault his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis while she was holding their 11-month-old son Caben, to make sure he doesn’t return to the life he was living before he was jailed.
A source said recently: "Jeremy wanted to get a tattoo of his prison number on his leg to serve as a reminder.
"He is making a clean start and won’t go back to the life he had before. This tattoo is a permanent reminder of that and it means a lot to him."
Jeremy was slapped with 200 hours of community service in August – narrowly missing out on prison – after he was found guilty of assaulting Stephanie.
But he hit the headlines just days after he started the unpaid work in Glasgow, Scotland, as he allegedly refused to scrub off some graffiti as he believed the spray-painted wall was created by famous artist Banksy.
He then jetted off to Turkey without permission – breaching the terms and conditions of his suspended sentence – to get a hair transplant and new teeth.
He appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court at the end of November regarding the breach and was slapped with an 18-week prison sentence.
As well as his community service, Jeremy was also ordered to pay £1,000 in court costs, £1,000 in compensation to Stephanie and a victims surcharge of £115.
He’s also been told to stay away from Stephanie, 24, for three years and any communication regarding Caben has to be done via social services.
