Jeremy McConnell doesn’t think he’s the father of Stephanie Davis’ unborn child – despite her claiming otherwise.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star is adamant he couldn’t have got the 23-year-old actress pregnant because she was on her period, which doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t carrying a baby as some women still bleed when they’re expecting, after they ended their tumultuous relationship.
Speaking to Ireland’s TV Now magazine, he said: "Look, if she is pregnant it’s not my kid. She had her period."
But, although he’s certain in his mind that he hasn’t got a little one on the way, the 26-year-old hunk wants to have a DNA test done when the baby does arrive because Stephanie keeps slamming him for not showing up to scans.
He explained: "If I was a dad, I’d be 100 per cent no, 110 per cent, the best dad in the world. But you’ll see in the future that it’s not my kid, and she’ll look like a mug."
Stephanie publicly lashed out at the Irish heartthrob two weeks ago after he failed to turn up for her pre-natal appointment and allegedly put her under so much stress that she required medical treatment in hospital for "pains."
She wrote on Twitter at the time: "I think it’s disgusting that Jeremy hasn’t turned up to scans and is constantly drunk and partying, the stress he has me under I’ve already been in hospital once with pains and stress.
"I don’t hate the lad I feel very VERY sorry him the fact that no one is getting him the help he needs. His managed should have him rehab and sorting his life out so he can be there for his child before he dies (sic)."
Meanwhile, the pair’s romance has been the hot topic of conversation for the past six months as they’ve been plagued with a love triangle, squabbles and cheating claims.
They initially met while locked in the ‘CBB’ infamous house back in January but after months of on/off dating, their romance appeared to come to a halt late last month.
