Jeremy McConnel never wanted broken relationship with Stephanie Davies

Jeremy McConnell never wanted a "broken relationship" with Stephanie Davis.
The 28-year-old reality TV star – who spent 34 days in prison last year after he was found guilty of assaulting the actress – is set to appear on the ‘Jeremy Kyle Show’ today (07.03.18) where he will speak about his turbulent relationship with the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star.
In an exclusive clip from the show, obtained by The Sun Online, Jeremy struggles to hold back the tears when he is shown a picture of his 15-month-old son Caben-Albi who he hasn’t seen for eight months.
He tells the chat show host after being accused of not being a good father: "When you look at the way it’s happened, me and Steph were living together when this incident happened.
"I went to court; the restraining order was put in place. I can go through the correct channels to see my son."
Jeremy hit the headlines last month when Stephanie claimed he’d crushed a broken bottle in her palm – tearing two tendons in her hand – during a row in 2016.
He was given a three-year restraining order against seeing her and now he has admitted it’s "sad" that he cannot see his son and said he loves "him to bits".
He said: "Of course I miss him. I love him to bits. It’s sad.
"Because I look at him, like. That’s the link to my mum and dad. My mum and dad passed away and that’s my little boy.
"I never wanted a broken relationship with Steph. I had my part to play in the relationship, that was bad, but I’m not a bad person, do you know what I mean?"
