Jeremy Clarkson’s drone disaster

Jeremy Clarkson has been trying to herd sheep on his farm by using a drone, because he doesn’t have a dog.
The ‘Grand Tour’ co-host attached a speaker to the electronic device and played out the sound of a pooch barking to try to round up his flock, but his plan didn’t work and he ended up running around after his ewes for two hours on his own.
He said: "They always escape and so you’ve got to get them back in their field. Two hours of solid running around, on my own. I don’t have a dog.
"I tried using a drone, I had a drone and I fitted a speaker on it that barked and flew it around and they just stand looking at it and they don’t move … I cannot wait to eat them."
Speaking about owning two rams, he added: "These rams just go around and I’ve called them Wayne Rooney and Leonardo DiCaprio."
Jeremy admits he didn’t think farming would be that tricky, but he has been "utterly exhausted" since he forked out on his latest venture.
He added: "I am now a farmer and utterly exhausted as a result. It’s a proper farm, a full-on farm and the guy who ran it for many years, he retired and I thought, ‘How hard can it be?’
"You put seeds in the ground and then weather happens and then food grows and you eat it and it’s fine or you sell it.
"It’s unbelievably difficult and at any given moment you know a bit of machinery is going to cut one of my arms off.
"Have you ever looked at the back of a tractor, it’s just lots of different ways for removing an arm."
And Jeremy admitted he would be up for getting even closer to life’s creepy crawlies by appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for £100,000.
Speaking on Saturday’s (07.12.19) ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, he added: "We all say no now because we’ve all got jobs. If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in.
"Yes, I’d go and do it."
Jeremy’s comments come after he recently confirmed he is to front a new farming show for Amazon Prime, which has the working title ‘I Bought The Farm’.
He said: "Good news! I can finally confirm that I’m going to be spending the next year, in the rain, making a show about farming for Amazon Prime.
"Of course to be a farmer you have to be an agronomist, a businessman, a politician, an accountant, a vet, and a mechanic. And I’m … none of those things. I don’t even know what agronomist means."
‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ airs on Saturday at 10.25pm on ITV.
