Jeremy Clarkson to be quizzed in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire twist

Jeremy Clarkson is to be put on the spot as part of a new twist to ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’.
‘The Grand Tour’ presenter is to host the returning quiz show for ITV, but will find his own general knowledge put to the test as part of the revamp.
Bosses are introducing an ‘Ask The Host’ option, according to The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column, which will allow contestants to consult Jeremy for help with their answers, in a bit do win £1 million.
A source said: "Bosses think that the new twist will add a fun dimension to the show and viewers will enjoy seeing Jeremy squirming as he is put on the spot.
"He won’t be wearing an in-ear speaker or be able to see the answers, so it’ll be using his genuine general knowledge.
"He’s a bit worried as he could be the reason that someone goes home without anything."
The existing lifelines of ‘Phone A Friend’, ‘Ask The Audience’ and ’50:50′ will remain in place, as contestants are faced with 15 increasingly difficult questions, with four multiple choice answers, which they must identify correctly in order to proceed to the next level.
In another new twist to the show contestants will be permitted to bank their winnings at any point they choose, after amassing at least £1,000, rather than the previous £1,000 and £32,000 safety options.
The insider said: "It will mean the contestant is less likely to go home empty-handed."
‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ previously aired from 1998 to 2014, hosted by Chris Tarrant.
Former ‘Top Gear’ presenter Jeremy, 58, will replace Chris, 71, in the hot seat for a week of shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the programme.
The seven hour-long episodes will air later this spring and offer members of the public the chance to win £1,000,000 if they can answer 15 questions correctly.
A spokesperson has said: "Chris thought the programme had run its course. He wasn’t approached but if he was, he would have politely turned it down. Chris is delighted it’s back and wishes it well."
