Jenny Ryan praises Anne Hegerty following I’m A Celeb breakdown

Jenny Ryan has shown her support for Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty following her breakdown on last night’s (18.11.18) ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’.
The ‘Chase’ star – who was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome in 2007 – was in tears during the launch of the jungle reality show on Sunday as she threatened to leave the series just hours after entering the camp.
Anne’s quiz show co-star, 36-year-old Jenny, has taken to Twitter to show her support for her 60-year-old colleague, and expressed to fans how difficult it is for her to take part in the show.
She wrote: "I hope everybody watching at home appreciates just how far @anne_hegerty is going outside of her comfort zone. I’m proud of her for being so incredibly brave and challenging herself." (sic)
One fan replied to the tweet, writing: "Oh come on Jenny she is getting well paid and it’s hardly Bear Grylls survival!" (sic)
Explaining the condition, Jenny replied: "Anne has Asperger’s Syndrome which has a positive benefit on her quizzing ability but also means that a lot of things that us Neurotypicals don’t think twice about are incredibly difficult and stressful for her.
"It’s so much more of a challenge for the Governess than you presume. (sic)"
Despite her condition, Anne previously confessed that she didn’t want viewers to treat her differently because of her Asperger’s, and assured her fans that she responds well to structure.
While the star doesn’t want any special treatment, she predicted that certain situations might be "stressful" for her.
She said: "Being surrounded by people I can’t get away from, or those who talk all the time, can be a source of stress."
