Jennifer Metcalfe praises her Hollyoaks ‘security blankets’ Jude Monk McGowan and David Tag

Jennifer Metcalfe says Jude Monk McGowan and David Tag have been her "little security blankets" since she returned to ‘Hollyoaks’ from maternity leave.
The soap stalwart already misses Jude, whose character Liam Donovan was killed off in last night’s (25.03.20) E4 first-look episode, and she praised the actor and her co-star David (Sylver McQueen), for "keeping [her] going" at work.
Speaking about Jude, she said: "I miss him already! My god I have enjoyed working with him.
"Since coming back off maternity leave, nearly two years ago, him and David have just been my little security blankets.
"They have always been there for me when I’ve not slept too much.
"They always get me a coffee, or just drag me, and keep me going."
The 36-year-old actress praised Jude as a "talented" actor, and admitted he has brought out the best in her acting when they have filmed scenes together.
She added: "I’m going to miss him dearly! I’ve made a lovely friend there.
"He’s such a cool guy, and he’s so talented. When we do scenes together, I love what he brings out in me, and I’ve got a massive thank you to him for that."
Liam has been making Maxine Minniver’s life a misery of late, but actress Nikki Sanderson – who plays the character – is "really sad" to see Jude leave the Channel 4 soap.
She said: "He is a lovely guy, we have had a lot of laughs on set, and do you know what, I’m really sad to see him go.
"Working with people so closely for such a long amount of time, you really do get bonds with people, and friendships.
"It’s really sad to see them go, but Jude is a super talented guy, and I am sure he will do many other beautiful things."
