Jennifer Lopez shared bed with sisters

Jennifer Lopez had to share her bed with her two sisters when she was growing up in the Bronx.

The ‘I Luh Ya Papi’ singer, 44, was forced to squeeze into the same bed as her siblings Lynda and Leslie when she was a youngsters because her parents could only afford a small house in New York City.

However, the beauty believes her closeness with her sisters has continued into their older life, particularly with Lynda as she was expecting a baby the same time Jennifer was expecting twins Max and Emme, six.

Recalling her relationship with her sister during her pregnancy, Jennifer said: "During that time we started talking every day, sometimes staying up until the wee hours of the night discussing how having children would change our lives and what we were going to do.

"It was just like when we were kids, sharing a bedroom in the Bronx, sharing a bed in the Bronx with our other sister, all three of us!

"We were both fortunate to be in the care of great doctors who kept us properly informed every step of the journey. The experience made us think a lot about how different it was for some people, which we knew from growing up in the Bronx."

After giving birth to Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, the star decided to set up the, non-profit organisation, Lopez Family Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the well-being and health of women and children.

She explained: "I’ve been a mother for six years and there isn’t a single moment of the day that goes by that I don’t worry and every mum knows this feeling and that’s one of the reasons we started the Lopez Family Foundation."
