Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were reportedly spotted on a dinner date earlier this week.
The ‘Hunger Games’ star and the Coldplay frontman, who split up in October, have sparked rumours they’ve rekindled their romance after they were pictured tucking into food at the Kiwami Sushi in Studio City, California, on Tuesday (30.12.14).
An onlooker told PEOPLE.com: "They were engulfed in their little world of conversation.They were into each other and not noticing anyone else around them."
The insider added: "[They] seemed to be just content with each other. He was really listening to what she was saying."
The 24-year-old actress reportedly ended their short-lived relationship three months ago because she was struggling to deal with Chris’ close bond with his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he has children Apple, ten, and Moses, nine.
A source said at the time: "It is hard for her [Jennifer] to understand the feelings between Chris and Gwyneth."
Meanwhile, Gwyneth, 42, recently opened up about her friendship with Chris, 37 – who she "consciously uncoupled" from in March 2014 following ten years of marriage – and admitted they had to work "really hard" for their children’s sake.
She said: "We’ve worked really f***ing hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice.
"I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have."
