Jenn Murray: Eddie Redmayne makes acting ‘look easy’

Eddie Redmayne makes acting "look easy".
The ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ actor’s co-star Jenn Murray can’t believe how effortless the 34-year-old star is when he’s on set.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the premiere of ‘Love & Friendship’ at The Curzon, Mayfair on Tuesday (24.05.16), she shared: "Yes, well I’m a J.K Rowling fan. I love books, I love fiction and I love any kind of escapism that’s well written. So to get into that film was amazing. David Yates was a great director and Colleen Atwood is the costume designer – she’s won three Oscars. You know, you’re just constantly around people who are at the top of their profession. Set, costume, lighting. You couldn’t ask for more.
"I worked with Eddie Redmayne on my first day, it was amazing because he was so relaxed and makes it look easy. But then when you really pay attention and you watch someone; he is so gifted, it was really great and he was so polite and well mannered too."
Meanwhile, the film’s producer David Heyman previously revealed Eddie was cast as magizoologist Newt Scamander in the ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off because he could bring "real heart and compassion" to the role.
Heyman said: "Newt is someone who can communicate better with his creatures than he does with people. He’s a Brit who finds himself in the US and the American magical universe is different to the British one.
"Eddie was our first choice. He’s very good at playing characters that are out of step, as it were, and bringing to them a real heart and compassion. He has a desire to bring truth to every moment. He’s very charming and appealing to men and women alike. And he’s a timeless actor, so he fits perfectly into 1920s New York."
