Jax Jones and Zoe Wees perform with Pikachu in music video for dance banger Never Be Lonely

Jax Jones has released ‘Never Be Lonely’ with Zoe Wees alongside a music video starring Pokémon Pikachu.

The 36-year-old DJ and producer has joined forces with The Pokémon Company International on his latest Eurodance-style tune featuring the mesmerising vocals of German singer Zoe.

In the promo, fans are invited on a “journey to a future world” where the pair perform and the little yellow Pikachu illuminates the stadium. The bipedal humanoid Pokémon Ceruledge also makes an appearance.

Jax said: “This collaboration with Zoe Wees and Pikachu represents a dream come true for me. ‘Never Be Lonely’ is a sonic journey into the heart of music and friendship, and it’s a privilege to have Pikachu join us on this adventure.”

Zoe, 22, added: “Working with Jax Jones was an absolute joy. ‘Never Be Lonely’ is a testament to the power of unity through music, and I’m thrilled to be part of this magical experience.”

It’s the second collaboration between Jax and the Japanese media franchise, as he also contributed ‘Phases’, which features Sinead Harnett, to ‘Pokémon 25: The Album’ in 2021.

Meanwhile, Take That are said to be hitting the studio with Jax Jones.

The songwriter – who has collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX, Raye, Demi Lovato and Duke Dumont – made friends with frontman Gary Barlow last year and the pair have agreed to work together.

The ‘Out Out’ hitmaker also hinted he has done something with Kylie Minogue, as well as Calum Scott, with whom he released ‘Whistle’.

Calum also teamed up with Take That – also comprising Mark Owen and Howard Donald – on their dance version of ‘Greatest Day’, with DJ Robin Schulz, earlier this year.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre, Jax spilled: “I wanna collaborate with as many names as I can next year, whether it’s Take That, Kylie Minogue, more stuff with Calum, watch this space, it’s gonna be sick.

“I saw Gary Barlow the other day, man, he gave me a bottle of his red wine and we’re getting in the studio.”
