Jared Leto wanted R-rated Suicide Squad

Jared Leto wanted ‘Suicide Squad’ to be "R-rated".
The 44-year-old actor – who plays The Joker in the DC Comics blockbuster – has admitted he felt like the movie, which was directed by David Ayer, should have only been viewed by an adult audience because of the villains in the film.
He said: "It felt like, if a film was ever going to be rated R, it should be the one about the villains."
Meanwhile, the hunky star says there is enough material for there to be a movie based just on his character.
He told BBC Radio 1: "I think that I brought so much to the table in every scene that it was probably more about filtering all of the insanity, because I wanted to give a lot of options, and I think there’s probably enough footage in this film for a Joker movie."
And Jared – who also fronts rock band 30 Seconds To Mars – revealed it has "taken a little bit" to shake off The Joker after ‘Suicide Squad’.
He recently said: "There’s a lot I love about The Joker, so I’m happy if there’s still some parts of him somewhere, especially his sense of humour and spontaneity. It takes a little bit to shake him off."
Jared previously revealed he sent his co-stars bizarre gifts on set to help him bring some reality to his villainous character.
He said: "You start to have this dialogue with yourself about the relationship you have with these characters, which in the beginning was really helpful. It helps build some reality, creates some dialogue with the other actors … I don’t embarrass very easily. I think as an actor you throw your shame out the window a long time ago."
