Jane Fonda ‘hates’ plastic surgery

Jane Fonda "hates" that she’s had to have plastic surgery.
The 80-year-old actress is glad she looks "good" for her age but she’s disappointed that she had to rely on cosmetic operations to achieve that look.
Speaking in New York City for a Q&A about her HBO film ‘Jane Fonda in Five Acts’, she said: "On one level, I hate the fact that I’ve had the need to alter myself physically to feel that I’m OK. I’m not going to lie about that. I got tired of looking tired when I wasn’t. I wish I wasn’t like that. I love older faces. I love lived-in faces. I loved Vanessa Redgrave’s face. I wish I was braver. But I am what I am."
Although she’s had to turn to the knife to keep her youthful glow, the ‘Monster-in-Law’ star has managed to keep her slim physique by working out regularly.
She added: "Just more slowly now."
Jane also believes posture and the way she carries herself helps her look young.
She explained: "When I stand up straight, it’s a whole different thing. Your age is less chronological and more attitudinal."
Meanwhile, Jane recently claimed that her life was "defined by the men" around her – including father Henry Fonda, and three husbands Roger Vadim, Tom Hayden, and Ted Turner – but when she finally started living for herself instead of aiming "to please", she was able to be the person she was "supposed to be".
She said: "Up until my sixties, I was to an extent, defined by the men in my life. I was brought up to please. I wanted my father to love me so I would turn myself into a pretzel to be what he wanted me to be, not necessarily what I already was. It took me getting into my sixties, and then I began to become who I was supposed to be all along."
