Jamie Oliver returns to Channel 4 with brand new cooking show

Jamie Oliver is returning to Channel 4 with a brand new cooking series filmed at his home.

The TV chef will be back next month with ‘Jamie: Keep Cooking Family Favourites’, which features recipes he created to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The new show – which will air on Channel 4 in August – will see Jamie "creating simple, affordable and delicious meals using the ingredients lots of us buy week in, week out".

The 45-year-old star will be focusing on "meals for everyday family needs", including recipes from his recent book ‘7 Ways’.

Samantha Beddoes – Executive Producer at the Jamie Oliver Group – commented: "We’re really excited to share this new series.

"We’ve all been spending more time cooking at home and need a bit of inspiration to mix it up a bit to keep it interesting.

"Jamie has been at home too, and this new series offers a glimpse into what he’s been cooking for his own family, creating meals that work for real family life.

"Filmed in his garden at home, the cooking is joyful and delicious, offering ingeniously tasty ways to use our everyday ingredients in new ways to create dishes which will become instant family favourites."

In a press release, Channel 4 promised the show – made up of eight 30 minute episodes – would be "packed with affordable, useful and feel-good meals and tips, inspiring us with new ideas and showing us how food can bring us all together".

His first C4 series came in 2002 with ‘Jamie’s Kitchen’, and has since been followed by the likes of ‘Jamie’s School Dinners’, ‘Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals’ and ‘Jamie’s Comfort Food’.
