Jamie Lee Curtis wanted to be a police officer

Jamie Lee Curtis wanted to be a police officer.
The 59-year-old actress has revealed that although she is the child of Hollywood stars Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, she originally opted for a career in law enforcement – however ended up following in her parents’ footsteps "by accident".
Speaking on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ – which airs on Friday (05.10.18) – she said: "I didn’t think I would be an actor. I was a very bad student but I wanted to be a police officer because I thought I would be good at it. While studying to be a cop I became an actor by accident."
The revered actress made her film debut in 1978, starring as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ – and is set to reprise her role in the upcoming remake of the cult horror hit, which hits screens on October 19.
She said: "The film connects the stories between 1978 and 2018. Laurie has gone the way trauma takes you without good mental health support! It is incredibly intense and scary."
The new movie follows Laurie 40 years after surviving a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night.
However, the killer manages to escape from the institution he has been residing in during a bus transfer which goes horribly wrong.
Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns, however this time around her character has been preparing.
The new slasher flick will be directed by David Gordon Green and comedian Danny McBride will feature on the writing team – while both James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle will star alongside Jamie the as psychotic killer.
