Jake Quickenden wants Hollyoaks return

Jake Quickenden would love to return to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 31-year-old star – who first appeared as Woody on the Channel 4 soap last year – is keen to reprise the role in the future and see where bosses can take his character once filming starts again, after the set was shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He told new! magazine: "Yeah, if they ask me! Out of all my jobs, I think that’s probably my favourite.
"I really liked testing myself and I was really getting my teeth into it when it ended.
"When they’re back to filming, I hope my character Woody comes back to do some more building maintenance."
Jake isn’t ruling out more reality TV either, having previously appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ after finding fame on ‘The X Factor’.
He doesn’t like turning down opportunities, and is happy to explore all options.
He said: "I wouldn’t say no. I don’t really say no to anything.
"’Strictly’ is always on the cards and I really want to do ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’. I just want to continue to act, sing and be happy."
In terms of his music, Jake has released new single ‘Quarantine Song’ – with all proceeds going to the NHS – and he’s glad to have done his bit.
He added: "I was sitting at my keyboard and writing little things and I thought, ‘I’m going to write a song about being in quarantine’.
"I realised it was quite catchy when I heard my missus whistling it around the house.
"I thought, ‘You know what? I could maybe release this and donate all the money to the NHS.’ "
