Jake Quickenden has split from his fiancee.
The ‘Dancing On Ice’ winner proposed to Danielle Fogarty – the daughter of his ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmate Carl Fogarty – seven months ago but they have reportedly gone their separate ways after his commitments to the skating show’s tour and plans to join The Dreamboys stripping troupe caused tension in their romance.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jake and Danielle have been joined at the hip since her dad introduced them. But winning ‘Dancing On Ice’ has meant Jake’s had other priorities. He’s been touring the country with Kem [Cetinay] on the show’s tour and getting a lot of female attention, which hasn’t been easy for Danielle.
"Things aren’t going to get any easier on that front either, with Jake set to join The Dreamboys strip group. It’s caused a lot of friction and they’ve both decided to take a breather.
"They are now in the UK and are spending time with their families. The wedding is very much off for now."
The split was said to have happened suddenly on Tuesday (16.04.18) while the pair were in Rome, Italy.
The sad news came just a few weeks after Jake discussed the pair’s wedding plans, admitting he didn’t have a clue about any of the details as he’d left Danielle to plan their big day.
He said: "’I haven’t got a clue to be honest. We’ll just roll with it and see how it goes.
"Until I’ve got a day off she’s making all the arrangements, so it’s a bit of a surprise party for me.
"It’s going to be towards the end of the year. We’re thinking September, October, November, December time. I think that’s pretty much the end of the year, so we’re just trying to get dates because I’m busy and Danielle works and we want all our friends and family there.
"Danielle’s done a lot of it because I’ve been so busy but I think we’re pretty good. We’re figuring out what date right now but she’s got her dress sorted so yeah, it’s all looking pretty good. It’s running smoothly. It’s all thanks to her and her mum and my mum."
