Jake Gyllenhaal went back to childhood with smashing scene

Jake Gyllenhaal became the "12-year-old version" of himself when smashing up a house in ‘Demolition’.
The actor portrays troubled investment banker Davis Mitchell in the drama – which is directed by Jean-Marc Valee – and he and young co-star Judah Lewis had a great time shooting the destructive scene, which used a real house.
He said: "It was so much fun. Everybody got into it. Jean-Marc ended up trashing pieces of the house himself. Everybody became the 12-year-old version of themselves."
For Judah, it was a great bonding experience with his older co-star to live out "every boy’s dream" together.
He told Total Film magazine: "It was my first day of filming and the first day I’d met Jake.
"They just put us in the house and said, ‘Go nuts’. It was like, really?
"It was the funniest bonding experience – tearing down walls with sledgehammers and crowbars.
"It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. It’s every boy’s dream just to demolish stuff and I got to live that.
"Everything in the house was real.
"The craziest bit for me was when I threw a crowbar across the room, straight into a flatscreen TV. It just shattered."
