Jacqueline Jossa losing sleep over Lucy Beale murder

Jacqueline Jossa says Lucy Beale’s murder is giving her "sleepless nights".

The ‘EastEnders’ favourite, who plays Lauren Branning, claims executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins is keeping the identity of Lucy’s killer top secret and she is "stressing out" trying to find out who will murder the Walford stalwart played by Hetti Bywater.

Speaking at the UK premiere of ‘The Stag’ in London’s Leicester Square last night (13.03.14), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Lauren’s storylines are great at the moment … every single script I’m reading, I’m crying my eyes out.

"And you’ve got the whole ‘who killed Lucy Beale’ [storyline]. I don’t know who killed her and it’s stressing me out! I’ve had sleepless nights … no one knows, I don’t even know whether Dominic knows."

Jacqueline revealed the cast have even begun taking bets on which character will murder Lucy in the dark new storyline this spring.

She added: "We’re all having little bets. Whenever there is a scene, I get a little inkling, like, ‘Oh my God, it’s you!’ "

The 21-year-old star has recently been working with returning ‘EastEnders’ actress Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Branning, and she admits it’s a dream come true to act with her.

She gushed: "Working with Lacey is literally incredible, she has been my idol for, like, 10 years. At the moment the vibe on set is depressing but not because of her, it’s just general ‘EastEnders’ life."

Jacqueline admits she wouldn’t be surprised to see her on-screen dad Max Branning (Jake Wood) reunite with Stacey, but doesn’t think Lauren would care, despite Stacey tearing her family apart by having an affair with Max in 2009.

She added: "I wouldn’t put it past Stacey and Max to get back together. Right now I feel like [Lauren] probably wouldn’t care. It’s gotten to the point now where it’s like, ‘Really? OK, you wanna go there? Just do it.’ "
