Jack P. Shepherd pleased with hair transplant results

Jack P. Shepherd is delighted with the results of his hair transplant.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who has played David Platt on the ITV soap for 19 years – underwent the procedure nine months after his thinning locks were affecting his mental health, so much so he considered quitting acting, and he is pleased with the outcome.
Sharing a picture of his results, he wrote on Instagram: "9 months it’s been since I had my hair transplant, this is the first time I’ve compared pictures to what I used to look like. I decided to get it done as it was affecting my mental health. To the point where I considered giving up acting and not being in the public eye. Thank you so much @asimshahmalak and everyone at Crown Clinic #hairtransplant #fuetransplant (sic)"
The 31-year-old star opened up about his tresses issues earlier this year, and admitted he thought about undergoing the hair op after seeing one of his mates look "so much better" after a transplant.
He said: "It is such a common thing for guys to have now – like a male version of the boob job.
"I decided to have it done because my hair loss has really escalated in the last year, particularly at the front of my scalp.
"I remember seeing myself on screen and thinking: ‘Oh my God, it is really falling out.’
"One of my mates had a transplant and he looked so much better afterwards that I didn’t recognise him. I was blown away by the improvement and he told me he wished he had done it earlier.
"I thought if I am going to do it, I should act now so that I can get the benefits for longer.
"I want to get my hair back to what it was like before so that I can style it at the front any way that I like. It would great to be in a position to have an Elvis quiff and really have some fun with my hair."
Jack had more than 3,000 hairs transplanted into the front of his hairline by surgeon Asim Shahmalak at Crown Clinic in Manchester.
