Jack Fincham was too scared to leave house due to anxiety

Jack Fincham was too scared to leave the house during his younger years due to anxiety.
The ‘Love Island’ winner has opened up about his mental health struggles at the age of 13, and things worsened when he was aged between 19 and 21, so much so he had to be signed off work.
Jack told GQ magazine: "I used to take citalopram, which is an antidepressant, and I also took beta blockers for anxiety, propranolol.
"It came sort of out of nowhere and I told my mum and stuff and got signed off from work with it.
"I was just scared to go out of the house. I was worried about things that weren’t happening. I thought I was going mad."
Jack – who won the ITV2 reality show with his girlfriend Dani Dyer last year – was scared to see a doctor about his problems because he didn’t want to make things "real" and "cried to his mum" instead.
He said: "I thought if I said it out loud to a doctor then it would make it real.
"I didn’t want to believe that this was happening to me – or why it was happening to me."
The former pen salesman also confessed he used to get upset about "nasty" messages from vile online trolls after he shot to fame last summer.
He added: "Just because you’re on TV it doesn’t mean you’ve become bulletproof."
