Jack Farthing loves playing villain in Poldark

Jack Farthing loves playing the arch-nemesis in ‘Poldark’.
The 31-year-old actor has played antagonist George Warleggan in the BBC period drama since the show began in 2015 but in the upcoming third series, Jack says his character now has further to fall.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: "He is finally where he wanted to be. He is married to the woman he loves, he has moved into her house and made it his own.
"Things are apparently looking smooth and lovely but it can’t last. He has further to fall now. He has got so much he wants. Those are the bits I love the most. He is the nemesis to Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) and I love how there are windows into his character as it’s the most interesting to watch when he behaves out of character."
He may be regarded as an upstart by the aristocracy due to his ruthlessness and cunning ways but Jack has revealed things are set to change in the new series.
He said: "It does change and develops. They have grown up a bit. They are more reluctant to jump into fights. Ross just wants them to live separately and happy but things come in their series that brings them back together."
The second instalment of the popular drama, based on the novels of Winston Graham, only wrapped up in the autumn but bosses have wasted no time shooting the third series as the next batch of episodes will drop next month.
The BBC confirmed at the end of last year that Aidan, 33, will return along with Eleanor Tomlinson, 25, as his wife Demelza.
