ITV planning Strictly rival

ITV are planning a new show to rival ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The channel will reportedly pump millions into ‘Dance Dance Dance’, which will feature famous faces teaming up with a close friend or family member to recreate an iconic dance routine.
And bosses plan to blow the hit BBC One Saturday night show "out of the water" with an all-star line-up and "mind blowing" special effects.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "For the past 12 years ITV has seen ‘Strictly’ pull in massive ratings and gain a huge fan base of all ages.
"But ITV have finally decided it’s time to hit back and splash the cash on a super flashy show called ‘Dance Dance Dance’, which they bought from the company behind ‘The Voice’.
"’Dance Dance Dance’s budget will blow ‘Strictly’ out of the water as producers are planning to incorporate revolutionary special effects and recruit some huge names.
"This new launch will certainly unsettle the BBC as ‘Dance Dance Dance’ has the potential to knock their flagship show."
The show is set to start filming later this year and will be aired at the start of 2017.
Contestants will perform an iconic routine, such as moves from Michael Jackson music videos, which will be recreated with special effects that mimic the original setting of the dances and create a 3D world around the performance.
A celebrity pairing will by voted out each week after being judged by an expert panel.
Producers also think they have a better chance of securing high-profile celebrities as they will be dancing with someone they know so there’s no chance of the "’Strictly’ curse" happening.
The insider continued: "Celebrities will be given the chance to actually spend time with those close to them but ITV are also hoping this dynamic will create strops between husbands and wives, brothers and sisters."
