ITV drop The Sara Cox Show

ITV has dropped ‘The Sara Cox Show’.
The channel has axed the weekend morning programme – which aired on Saturdays and Sundays – after just one series, but host Sara Cox has had a "brilliant" time filming the show.
She said: "ITV passed me the morning TV baton for one series last year and it was brilliant to have live music, great guests and taking my dogs on set."
ITV have replaced ‘The Sara Cox Show’ with two new programmes, ‘Breakfast at Garraway’s’ – which Kate Garraway and her ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmate Myles Stephenson will co-host on Saturdays – and their fellow jungle pal Roman Kemp will team up with his dad Martin Kemp for ‘Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best!’.
She added: "Now it’s time to pass the baton on. If Kate and the Kemps have half as much fun as I did, they’ll be very happy."
A spokeswoman for ITV told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "We loved working with Sara and were pleased with the show which aired for a full series and finished in the summer in addition to four Christmas special shows which performed well."
Kate admitted yesterday (26.02.20) she is delighted to have landed her own weekly entertainment show, which will feature celebrity guests all sharing their thoughts on what brings them joy.
She said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be welcoming everyone to join me and my sidekick, Myles, every Saturday morning for ‘Breakfast at Garraway’s’.
"We will have everything you need for a great weekend. I will have the best guests dropping by to tell us what they do to make their weekends great and live their best life. I can’t wait to get going!"
The series – which has been commissioned for 22 hour-long episodes – will give viewers tips "from what to cook for your Saturday night TV dinner, to what to watch on telly and everything in between".
‘Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best!’ will see the Kemp father and son duo presenting their first series together every Sunday morning, and the show promises "fun, celebrity chat and live music performances" alongside "up-and-coming comedians, games and challenges" pitting the pair against each other.
Roman said: "Working with my dad is something I love to do.
"We don’t live together anymore – I don’t get to see him as often as I used to, so I am so excited to be presenting our own chat show on a Sunday morning, ‘Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best!’ on ITV.
"We will have a real variety of guests on the sofa with us every Sunday, I can’t wait to get started!"
Both shows will start in April on ITV.
