Iggy Azalea has been struck down with a throat infection.
The 25-year-old rapper should be celebrating the release of her new single ‘Team’ today (18.03.16) but her festivities have been unexpectedly cut short by a nasty virus.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning, she tweeted: "ugh. I’m sick. just had the throat doctor at my house. ill be good in a few days – caught it early … Guys i actually feel so sick, My whole body feels weak. (sic)"
But it’s not just her illness that has set her back as the new single – which is the lead from her upcoming album ‘Digital Distortion’ – has also suffered from system failures, with fans complaining they couldn’t get their hands on the song.
She wrote: "Itunes is being a snail but the dance/lyric video is up on VEVO!!!! … Okay someones awake guys im getting the itunes thing sorted dont worry. lol. it wouldnt be me if something didnt go wrong …this is what they just said: iTunes has been processed & is indexing. As expected this is happening as fast as the systems allow. Jesus, okay its on SOME lol and will be on all in a few mins. mess.(sic)"
Meanwhile, the ‘Fancy’ hitmaker is no doubt hoping her year will start to pick up over the next coming months as she and her fiancé Nick Young are set to get hitched.
