Idris Virgo and Kieran Nicholls get dumped from Love Island

Idris Virgo and Kieran Nicholls have been dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The two hunks only joined the love shack last week after promising to shake things up for the other smitten contestants, but it looks like their efforts backfired as they were axed from the show in tonight’s (13.07.18) episode after new girl Alexandra Cane opted to couple up with unlucky-in-love doctor Alex George.
Speaking after his eviction, Idris – who is a professional boxer – said: "I am an attractive guy, I knew I’d catch the girls’ eyes as soon as I entered the villa.
"There were strong relationships in there though, so when Alexandra entered, I knew I should crack on with her.
"I was gutted she picked Alex in the recoupling because I thought me and her had a connection. We got on well but she had to make the right decision for her."
However, although he was desperately trying to persuade Alexandra to pick him out of the other two guys available, Idris has admitted he actually fancied Kazimir Crossley but he decided to stay away from her after he found out that Josh Denzel had asked her to be his official girlfriend.
He explained: "Kaz was my type but as soon as I walked into the villa, I knew I wouldn’t get far treading on Josh’s toes."
Kieran is equally as devastated to leave the villa as he was convinced his good looks and charm would win over one of the girls but he soon realised that the couples were so "strong" in there.
He said: "I feel gutted. Before I went in there, I thought one of the girls might be swayed but when you get in there you realise how strong some of the couples are."
And, although he’s annoyed that his quest to find love is over for now, he does thinks Alex and Alexandra are quite well suited because they share a lot of interests.
He explained: "Alex is an absolute legend, he’s really funny.
"I wish Alexandra coupled up with me but if she genuinely feels something towards Alex then fair enough. I’m glad they’re getting on and they do share the same interests. There is loads they have in common."
