Idris Elba to apear in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Idris Elba will appear in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’.

The British actor, who’s previously appeared in ‘Thor’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’, confirmed he’s already shot scenes for the eagerly-awaited superhero sequel, which is set to be released next year.

The 42-year-old star – who has recently been DJing in Ibiza – revealed he will star alongside Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth in the film, telling The Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "I’m in ‘Avengers’.

"And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and they’re like, ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’"

The much-anticipated film boasts a star-studded cast, which also features the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans, as well as Mark Ruffal, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L Jackson.

Meanwhile, Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, confirmed recently that ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will conclude with a revamped superhero team.

He told BuzzFeed: "The Avengers films, ideally, in the grand plan are always big, giant linchpins.

"It’s like as it was in publishing, when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, 12-issue mega-event. Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was.

"I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the [Avengers] roster is altered by the finale of this film."
