I think about Glastonbury all the time, says Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa thinks about her Glastonbury performance “all the time”.

The 28-year-old pop star will perform on the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury festival, and Dua is determined to get everything right.

Speaking to the BBC, Dua shared: “I think about it all the time.

“50 percent of my thoughts go to Glastonbury, then the rest are for everyday tasks.”

The upcoming festival will feature two female headliners for the first time – Dua and SZA – and the ‘Levitating’ hitmaker feels proud to be part of the cultural “shift”.

Dua explained: “I feel so lucky to be a part of that shift. It’s important to have more female headliners.

“We’ve just got to keep applying the pressure and making that change happen.”

Dua has ambitious plans for her Glastonbury appearance, revealing that she wants to give the Pyramid Stage a nightclub-like feel.

The award-winning star said: “It might be tight, but I’ve got to figure out a way to make 150,000 people feel like they’re in a small little nightclub.

“That’s the goal, and if there’s one place to do it, it’s gotta be Glasto.”

Meanwhile, a source recently revealed that Dua is “pulling out all the stops” for her Glastonbury set.

The chart-topping star has taken inspiration from Kylie Minogue ahead of her festival appearance.

The insider told The Sun newspaper: “Dua is the most pop-focused headliner Glastonbury have had in years and she is pulling out all the stops to impress.

“She knows how to put on a big show, and she is planning to bring all of that to Worthy Farm.

“Dua will have a dance troupe on stage and will be performing some seriously tricky choreography.

“She is taking some inspiration from Kylie Minogue and will have moving platforms on the stage like Kylie did during her headline slot in 2019.”
