Hulk Hogan receives death threat from Scott Steiner

Hulk Hogan has allegedly received a death threat from another wrestler.

The 61-year-old grappling legend’s wife Jennifer is reported to have been accosted by Scott Steiner as she landed at a San Jose airport on March 26 ahead of ‘WWE WrestleMania’, which took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on March 29.

According to reports, Steiner, who is believed to have been on the same flight as her, grabbed Jennifer while she was waiting at baggage claim and told her he plans to "kill Terry" – Hogan’s real name Terry Bollea – as soon as he stepped off his plane.

Jennifer didn’t recognise Steiner as a wrestler and former colleague of Hogan’s in the now defunct wrestling promotion WCW and immediately called her husband in a panic.

Hogan got on the next available flight to San Jose and once he met up with his wife the couple went to file a police report on March 27.

Hogan also informed WWE officials of the apparent exchange and the company banned Steiner from the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on March 28 and from ‘WrestleMania 31’. The company issued photos of the wrestler to their security guards and information stating he was not to be allowed into either event under any circumstances.

Steiner, 52, is now being investigated by police for "felony terrorist threats" and officers have reportedly secured a surveillance video documenting the exchange between him and Jennifer.

Website TMZ asked Steiner for a comment of the alleged incident and he replied: "Typical Hogan. He’s just a punk."

The pair have had a public feud for several years.

Steiner blames Hogan for the demise of WCW (World Championship Wrestling) in 2001.

The pair were also colleagues in TNA Wrestling and after Steiner left the TV promotion in 2012 he blamed Hogan and Eric Bischoff – former WCW Executive Producer and TNA Producer – for ruining the company and his career.

In a video interview in 2013, he ranted: "TNA is definitely in jeopardy. It’s losing money and it’s ratings are bad. How can you not look at Hogan and Bischoff – they haven’t performed. Everybody has got to perform. How come they’re not accountable for the s**t they’re putting on TV? Hogan pushing his ***** **** worthless daughter who can’t sing or dance. It’s embarrassing man … TNA is losing money because they gotta pay their contracts. No way would that work in a normal business setting. They’ve been there for almost three years, and they haven’t done anything to spike the ratings. In a normal business setting, if you don’t perform you lose your job."
