Hugh Grant: ‘Sex scenes are a turn-on’

Hugh Grant finds filming sex scenes a "turn-on".
The 56-year-old actor admitted he loves filming racy scenes for his movies and says they can be quite exciting.
He told W magazine: "Love scenes are extremely difficult. You’re always within a millimetre of sentimentality and ‘yuck’. But sex scenes are something else!
"The conventional response to sex scenes is that they’re horrible and not sexy and it’s all so unnatural. But I’ve always found filming sex scenes to be quite a turn-on. I like the experience of being in a sexual position when you’re not supposed to be in one."
Hugh also revealed that he has a secret desire to compete on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, after learning to dance for his new movie ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ but has ruled it out because he considers himself "too classy".
He said: "I had to learn to dance the Lindy Hop. That took four hard months, with ladies in leotards in a sweaty dance studio in London. They had to train me like a performing seal.
"Secretly, deep down, I’d love to do [‘Dancing With The Stars’] – it’s superb. But – damn it – I consider myself too classy."
Although Hugh became a famous heartthrob after the success of the 1994 movie ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, he explained that writer Richard Curtis did everything he could to make his leading man look bad in the film.
He said: "Well, Richard Curtis, the writer, didn’t want me in the film because he thought that the character should not be attractive – so they went to great lengths to make me look bad. I have terrible costumes in that film, and they gave me the worst haircut they could. How is that for ironic?"
